Upcycling

Soms koop je kleding in de winkel en na één keer wassen is de kleding te kort en/of te wijd geworden. Als ik zelf kleding maak, dan was ik de stoffen altijd voor, zodat de krimp eruit is. Bij kleding in de winkel wordt dit vast niet gedaan.

Mijn vriend kocht een trui en na één keer wassen was de trui te kort en te wijd. Ik besloot om deze trui te ‘recykleren’. Ik knipte hem in stukken en maakte er een trui voor mijn oudste zoon van.

Sometimes you buy clothes in the store and after washing once, the clothes have become too short and/or too wide. When I make clothes myself I always wash the fabrics. So the fabric will shrink before I sew new clothes. This is probably not the case with clothing in the store. 

My friend bought a new sweater and after washing it once, the sweater was too short and too wide. I decided to ‘recycle’ this sweater. I cut it into pieces and turned it into a sweater for my oldest son.
